Preserving your reputation is easier than repairing it
LinkedIn
"It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it." - Warren Buffett
For so many companies, reputation management can be a knee-jerk, reactionary move. But as with your health, prevention is always better than the cure. And smart businesses know that putting in the groundwork can pay huge dividends when you need it most. Reputation and crisis management should always be considered as part of a long-term public relations strategy. In fact, it should be the cornerstone. 5 reasons why diversity is crucial for success

As you may have noticed, most working professionals tend to surround themselves with like-minded individuals who have similar backgrounds, experiences and education. But while it's important that everyone on a team buy into the same overarching vision and share similar goals, there are some compelling reasons why it's crucial to work with others who possess different perspectives, skills and thoughts on how to achieve desired outcomes — even if their opinions may run counter to ours.

Professional Carwashing & Detailing
Tiger Express Wash has seen an uptick in sales since the owner, Roland Bartels, changed the business model two years ago after buying out his partner, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune. Make these 4 mistakes and the government may be calling on you
Small Business Trends
Barry Moltz writes, "I can still remember the day the Department of Revenue shut my company down. It seems that we had not done a timely job of remitting the sales tax that we had collected from our customers and this government agency wanted their money. It was a similar story when the IRS was concerned that we were not remitting employees' collected payroll taxes in a timely period of time."

Do new EPA emission rules just hasten coal's inevitable death?
Green Car Reports
Take a deep breath and relax. It is highly unlikely that "millions of Americans will be freezing in the dark" (in the words of a critic) once new EPA rules lowering carbon emissions from power plants go into effect. In fact, some analysts suggest that the rules issued this past week by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency — widely expected to reduce the use of coal to generate electricity — simply hasten a change that would have happened anyway.

Keep it simple: Switching to automated expense management
PYMNTS
What's next in payments? The simple answer is: a lot. A slightly more in-depth answer is: save money by cutting back on paper and the time it takes to manually enter information. Additionally, cloud-based systems or automated software can help businesses streamline their tax processing and payment structures.

Behind the suds and scrubbing brushes
Tri-County Times
Being inside the tunnel of a car wash is like being inside the belly of a machine. Your vehicle is taken through two sets of "mitter" curtains, tire brushes, rocker panel and van brushes, seven cleaning product arches, and when you exit, your car sparkles again. That's the experience of $500,000 in equipment scrubbing, spraying and drying your vehicle, and hundreds more in chemicals to leave it sparkling.
