Edwards Station to renovate car wash

Edwards Station in Edwards, Colorado, has launched a major renovation of its automatic car wash, with a new high-tech, attended tunnel-style car wash set to open in December. The nearly $2 million project was designed to meet the increased service demands at Edwards Station, which originally opened in 1999, with the new car wash using the latest technology to clean up to 50 cars per hour, up from eight cars per hour.

Suspect in Longview, Texas, car wash burglaries jailed

A man suspected of multiple car wash burglaries in Longview, Texas, was jailed by Gregg County sheriff's deputies. Earl O'Neal, 31, of Longview was taken into custody and charged with theft of property. Video surveillance evidence led police to identify O'Neal as the suspect involved in numerous burglaries of car wash vending machines at locations on Pine Tree Road and Gilmer Road.

Recruiting is like bathing — it's only effective if you do it every day. If you recruit only "when you have the time," you severely limit your ability to attract and hire the best. Chrysler recalls 230,760 SUVs globally for fuel pump issue

Chrysler Group is recalling an estimated 230,760 sport utility vehicles globally to install a new part to prevent a fuel pump issue that could cause the vehicles to stall or not start. Chrysler, a unit of Fiat, said it had discovered in an internal review that some fuel-pump relays in certain 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs were susceptible to deformation. The automaker said it was unaware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue.

Drought expected to continue into next year across West, forecasts show

Federal forecasters say severe drought or worse will continue into next year across much of the West, including parts of western Utah, most of Nevada and practically all of California. The National Weather Service is predicting below-normal precipitation and normal or above-normal temperatures in the week ahead, and experts say the three-year drought isn’t likely to be relieved in October, November and December.

Phoenix has 'Angel on Earth'

Frank Thomas, owner of Thomas Auto Glass, will receive the Angel on Earth Award, according to a press release. The award is given by Angels in the Neighborhood, a national movement to recognize “angels among us,” said the release. Awardees are men and women who devote their lives to helping others. Thomas’ 3-year-old son died in 1975 of cancer, and Thomas began helping people out of gratitude for all the assistance he received during that time, stated the release.
