October brings forecast for more drought in Western US
Drought will persist over most of the Western United States and could develop along the Pacific Northwest coast in October, according to a new assessment by the National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center. That means no relief for most of the 132 million Americans that the latest data from the U.S. Drought Monitor show are living in drought-stricken areas — including the nearly 28 million in areas that are under exceptional drought, the most extreme category. California in particular has been suffering, with 100 percent of the state listed in drought and more than 58 percent listed as in exceptional drought.

Professional Carwashing & Detailing
On-the-go families frequently fill cars, vans and SUVs for both daily errands and road-trip vacations. Food and drinks, markers and crayons, these items frequently leave their mark on the seats, carpets and floor mats. Thus, professional detailers seeking a steady and profitable revenue stream need look no further than the stained interiors of the vehicles they service. Using specific products and tools and following defined processes, detailers can successfully remove tough interior stains while increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

With that in mind, here's a rundown of a few difficult personality types I've seen in the workplace over the years, along with a few tips on how best to deal with them.
Despite recalls, defective airbags still in US cars
A government database shows more than 100 people have reported being hurt, all from airbags manufactured by the Takata Corporation of Japan. More than 11 million cars have been ordered back because of the potentially deadly airbag malfunction. Safety advocates, and those who've been affected, say the number should be far higher.
Security: Protecting the equipment room
Auto Laundry News
This article considers ways of preventing miscreants from entering the equipment room. This calls for an alarm system, but that by no means offers sufficient or complete security. Alarms report burglaries; they are not designed to prevent them. It is the intent of this article to detail the ways the equipment room at self-serve washes can be made secure from the effort of thieves.
