Teen dies after falling at car wash
Scranton Times-Tribune via Professional Carwashing & Detailing
A 15-year-old teenage boy slipped and fell from a car wash and died from his injuries, The Scranton Times-Tribune reported. The Oct. 30 story said the teen was up on the roof with other teens. The others were jumping off the roof, but the teen who died decided to climb down instead. He was being helped down when he slipped and fell. An investigation into the incident is underway.

Recently, new research was performed in the Instituto Senai de Inovação (Senai Innovation Institue), in the Brazilian city of Paraná, and created a special kind of paint which is "self-healing": The paint heals itself whenever damage, like scratches, occurs.

Car wash wins design award
KMVT-TV
A home town boy makes good' and wins an award for designing a distinctive local car wash. Architect Josh Howa of Howa Design in Boise grew up in Twin Falls. Howa came up with the idea for the Rocket Express Car Wash together with owners Joe and Janet Russell almost four years ago. Janet Russell, Co-owner of Rocket Express, says, "The other thing is we have a circular tunnel, which is supposed to reflect the rocket, like a rocket launching. That's quite unique compared to a standard car wash. That circle is Josh Howa's design."

It's all in the family at the Lafayette Car Wash

The Lafayette Car Wash & Detail Center in California is definitely a family affair. Blake Wellen now oversees the day-to-day operations at the business his father, Jesse, bought in 1990. Wellen also met his wife, Julie Rubio, while working at the car wash on the eastern end of Mt. Diablo Boulevard. A number of employees have also met their significant others in the midst of the soap, spray and industrial dryers. In addition, the car wash owners use the "family first" rule when looking for new employees.
