Livin' life by the drop: Water recycling a big part of new car wash

Despite recent rains, Central Texas remains in a drought. So, how do car washes deal with the drought restrictions, with all the water they use? Jeffrey Blansit said getting a car wash at the new Water Works Auto Spa location in Kyle doesn't use that much water – because of the recycling they do. Blansit, president and chief executive officer of the company, said the facility recycles anywhere from 85 to 90 percent of the water it uses.

Small businesses get 1-year delay in health insurance process

The Obama administration announced it is delaying until November 2014 a requirement that small businesses shop for health insurance via the troubled federal HealthCare.gov site, which has been blamed for many problems since its launch last month. The shift applies to businesses with fewer than 50 full-time workers.

Car wash helps homeless get back on feet

Five years before Terrell spoke those words, Cassandra Weakley opened Heavenly Grace Ministries in Sheffield, Ala. Many of the car wash's employees know what it is to be without a home, whether a physical home or an emotional home. The car wash and Weakley offer them a second chance.

Update: Security cameras catch thief who stole ATM

An entire ATM machine was recently stolen from the Like-Nu Carwash in Idaho, and the car wash was able to provide police with an image of the thief. So far, two photos of the thief have been released to the public. According to an ATM expert, it's almost impossible to remove the money as it involves a cutting torch which can end up burning the money.
