Small businesses can save with health care tax credit
Small businesses can claim a larger tax benefit for providing health care to employees, beginning with the 2014 tax year. Included in the 2010 Affordable Care Act, the tax credit is aimed at helping small employers pay for employee health insurance and to encourage more of them to offer it.

Police searching for Haltom City car wash thieves

Police are searching for two men who cleaned up at separate Haltom City car washes early Nov. 24, breaking into coin boxes and even stealing wands and brushes from the car wash bays. The thieves struck between 7-7:50 a.m. in the 4600 and 4900 blocks of Western Center Boulevard. Surveillance cameras caught the men first trying unsuccessfully to break into vending machines.

The north industrial shop works on company vehicles and industrial equipment, both on-site and through a mobile service. Small signs are visible on the doors, and a desk sits in the corner of one of the bays. Bright pink shelving and mat hooks hang on the walls. "It's been a good year," owner Kristy Lang says. But it wasn't always this way.
Hyundai, BMW, McLaren, Dodge and Mercedes-Benz issue recalls

Hyundai will recall about 15,500 Entourage minivans from the 2007-2008 model years for a corrosion-related steering problem, according to a report the automaker posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website. Other, smaller recalls were issued by BMW, McLaren, Dodge and Mercedes-Benz for an assortment of safety problems.
Car wash owner, 71, doesn't take vacations

Larry Atchley, owner of Larry's Inman Street Car Wash, is now 71 and still comes into work every day and has no vacation plans in the near future. The Cleveland Daily Banner reported Atchley likes to set a good example for his employees, which is why he shows up to work every day. "I have to be here every day, and don't take vacations," said Atchley. "You have to be here and show [your employees] you're willing to work, just like them. I'll be 72 next month. I plan on working another four or five years. Then I plan to turn this over to my son."
