Mike Stolt, SCWA member and owner Truck Wash of Andrews, operating in Wichita Falls, Texas, writes, "If you went to last week’s city council meeting, you were impressed with how thoughtful and thorough your elected officials were as they worked to make the decision they believed their constituents would. Powering bottom-line growth
Auto Laundry News
Car wash owners are technology people. They rely on both mechanical and electronic equipment to keep their businesses up and running. In addition to the machinery needed to wash cars, many owners are fascinated by all types of automotive tech. Father and son Saul and Kerry Armus of Metuchen Car Wash are two such operators. They recently installed an electric car charger at their site elevating the cool factor at their wash and furthering their commitment to environmental consciousness.
Man mowed down at Las Vegas car wash doesn't recall being hit
Las Vegas Review-Journal
A Las Vegas car wash employee said he does not recall the moment a car plowed into his back and another man’s leg before speeding off while they were cleaning another car Dec. 11. The only recollection of the southwest valley crash that 29-year-old Francisco Luis Lorenzo had, as he struggled to sit or even speak while in a recovery room at University Medical Center, comes from surveillance footage from cameras installed a week prior at Alamo Hand Car Wash.

Cedar Hill, Texas, makes multimillion-dollar water conservation investment
The city of Cedar Hill, Texas, is making a $9 million investment in water conservation: while also cutting down on theft. The cost and ultimate savings come with the installation of new digital water meters. Recently, crews began installing the new digital water meters along Beltline Road. They’ll transmit usage data directly to the city, so there will be no need for crews to drive and check the dials manually. Customers will also have easy access to their usage information.
Selling in the new relationship economy
By Jared Kligerman
We often hear that history repeats itself. Some recent examples include: '60s funk rifts in Daft Punk's newest album, "vintage" filters for photographs and the return to locally sourced produce. The business world is experiencing this as well. Social media and smartphones have allowed consumers to share their experiences faster than ever. Buying decisions are no longer based on just price or quality, but on the buying experience and word-of-mouth recommendations. Welcome to the return of the relationship economy.
