Certain Facial Injuries Point to Domestic Violence
Distinct patterns of facial injury occur in women who suffer domestic violence, U.S. researchers report. Of the 45 (13.8 percent) patients who were assault victims, 18 were documented victims of domestic abuse, while 24 of the 26 remaining assault victims could not or did not identify their attackers. The study was published in the January/February issue of the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery. More
