NCEA'S LED Position

It is the position of the NCEA that:

1. LED devices should be used by skin care professionals.

2. In addition to manufacturer supplied, device specific education, skin care professionalsshall complete a course of study equivalent to that recommended by the NCEA.

3. If skin care professionals wish to use LED devices, they should take the necessary education to include theoretical and practical application as part of their core curriculum or as continuing education modules.
