NCEA Grassroots Advocacy
from the desk of Susanne S. Warfield
A grassroots campaign allows individual members, manufacturers/distributors to weigh in on important issues that affect the skin care industry and individual licensees. The NCEA biannual meetings provide a forum to discuss these issues with an entire room of concerned members who can make in impact. A majority vote wins on a proposed issue or standard. The standard(s) are then sent to our state regulatory boards for consideration. Each individual member can make a difference!

Why Should I Become Nationally Certified?

It is NCEA's goal to have all state regulatory boards "recognize NCEA Certified Professionals in their state." Standardization of educational requirements provided within the NCEA Certification Program support mobility of the skin care professional State-to-State and Internationally. NCEA has the commitment of several state boards to review the NCEA Certification Program, and as each state announces their participation, NCEA Certified Professionals will have increased mobility. It is NCEA’s goal to further define and convey standards of practice by raising the educational requirements of a skin care professional to a standardized 1200 hours across the country.
