Warfield will be doing a presentation for the state regulators on issues of importance to the skin care industry. "The first agenda item will be a report from the first-ever National Esthetic Teacher Training (NETT) Conference that was held on May 16-18, 2009 in Las Vegas. "NCEA's mission of raising the standards for the skin care industry already includes the NCEA Certified program based upon a 1200 hour Esthetician Job Task Analysis. Unwanted Lawsuits Grow From Laser Hair Removal
Reminder - 8th Annual Meeting March 8-11, 2010 Call For Speakers Due Sept. 15th

Plaintiffs and defense attorneys alike say medi-spas, where the beauty-conscious go to lose their unwanted facial hair, acne scars and fine lines, are a new litigation hot spot as patients increasingly sue over spa treatments gone wrong. Laser hair removal in particular is triggering lawsuits, lawyers note, warning that even more litigation is on the horizon as the number of medical spas has soared.
SDSS’s goal is to provide attendees with quality, timely education to better manage their business and professional growth,
