TAB 2013-2015 Texas Residential Construction Contracts Package — Available in September
Beginning in September, you can purchase the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) 2013-2015 Texas Residential Construction Contracts Package. Simply contact your HBA and request the package. Available as a great member benefit, TAB's contracts package subscription is your blueprint for typical residential construction and remodeling transactions in the State of Texas. At a cost of only $299.99 plus tax, the package of contracts and related addenda is a fantastic value and can save you thousands of dollars in legal fees. As always, the subscription includes any needed updates that may occur during the two year cycle.
In addition to addressing new legislatively mandated contractor payment requirements in locally-declared disaster areas, many improvements have been made to the 2013-2015 contracts package, which include: a new construction services agreement between the builder and prospective clients; performance standard updates and numerous other changes that reflect best practices and up to date construction transactions; integration of several court decisions in the last two years that more clearly define the rights of all parties; and revised warranty and performance standards, including foundation performance to reflect current engineering practices. The end result is that the contracts are even more comprehensive than before without adding length. The contracts package was prepared by a TAB committee for exclusive use by TAB members. Contact your local HBA to purchase the contracts beginning in September.

A look back at TAB summer events
Another successful Sunbelt
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2013 Sunbelt Builders Show™ at the JW Marriott® San Antonio Hill Country Resort June 24–25! You helped make it a first class event in every respect. The two day trade show and conference was action-packed from the Opening Session to the Sunbelt Bash.
We received glowing feedback on the location from attendees and exhibitors alike. It was the perfect place to meet colleagues from around the state and catch up with old friends face-to-face. We want to thank all our 2013 exhibitors and generous Sunbelt sponsors. Without their support, this event would not be possible.
The Texas Association of Builders also wants to thank our Sunbelt Builders Show™ Committee and Co-chairs, Beverly Koehn and Susan Wright, for their dedication to making this an event that raises the bar for our industry. Sunbelt directly provides revenue for TAB allowing it to do its primary job: to lobby for the interests of the residential construction industry at the Texas Capitol. Thanks for your "Show" of support!
Join us next summer at the same amazing location (the JW Marriott® San Antonio Hill Country Resort) for the 2014 Show on July 23–24. Registration will open in February.

TAB Member Rebate Program
Last year, one TAB builder member received over $14,000 in rebates for one quarter using the TAB Member Rebate Program. Over 70 percent of the builders and remodelers who participated nationally received rebates totaling more than they paid in association dues!
TAB’s Member Rebate Program increases your bottom line. For the minimal effort of informing the program about the home construction products you already use and when you close on a home or project, you’ll be putting money back in your pocket. The program doesn't change the way you do business. You are not required to submit receipts and you don't have to change how you purchase products. The rebate program does the paperwork, collects the money and mails you the quarterly rebate checks directly!
Both builder and remodeler companies, no matter how large or small, qualify for the program, and you are not required to use products from every manufacturer. Participation in the program is free and easy. Register today at http://www.hbarebates.com/tab.html. Note: The program is only available to current TAB members.

- Delta Faucets
