3M Company, St. Paul, Minn., has introduced 3M Geotextile Seaming Cylinder Spray Adhesive, a new method for seaming geotextile fabrics for uses including, but not limited to, erosion control, soil separation and subgrade stabilization applications. The adhesive is an extremely versatile, fast-tacking construction-grade spray adhesive with a unique wide-web spray pattern, ideal for bonding geotextile fabrics. With this innovative solution, installers of geotextile fabric can see time-savings of more than 56 percent compared to sewing, the company says. More

NTC likely to set up technical textile plant in Ahmedabad

With three more mills yet to be revived in Ahmedabad, National Textile Corporation is mulling setting up of a technical textile plant in one of them. United States contests Argentina's import restrictions

The U.S. government has initiated action through the World Trade Organization to settle a dispute with Argentina concerning the use of trade restrictions on all goods imported into Argentina. In a first step to resolve the dispute, the United States has requested consultations with Argentina, which has set non-transparent licensing requirements on imports of some 600 product categories including textiles and apparel, footwear, luggage, chemicals, plastics, paper products, automobiles and related products, machinery and tools, and numerous other products.
