The European flexible packaging market grew 5.1 percent in 2011 and is currently valued at $15 billion, according to a new report from PCI Films Consulting. The report claims that rising inks, adhesives and energy costs passed on to customers through higher selling prices were the main factors in the growth of the European flexible packaging production. The World Trade Organization's 11th trade policy review of the United States concluded recently, with some of the country's trade policies causing concern among its trade partners. "The United States maintains a very open trade regime and should be commended for this as well as for its resistance to introduce protectionist measures, even during difficult times," said Eduardo Munoz Gomez, chairman of the Trade Policy Review Body, in his concluding remarks.
