More TPMS education needed

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's plan to conduct a follow-up survey on tire pressure monitoring systems could not come at a more appropriate time. The survey will assess the effectiveness of TPMS in older vehicles and determine ways to increase its effectiveness. These systems have become a fixture on every new passenger vehicle sold in the U.S. following their mandate as part of the Transportation Recall Efficiency, Accountability and Documentation Act of 2000. Yet their effect on reducing tire underinflation has been, to say the least, underwhelming.

Experts confirm potholes are more prevalent this year

TxDOT and Waco, Texas city leaders say fixing potholes is a priority, it's just been tough because mother nature has not been cooperating.
