Green car owners overlook low rolling resistance tires
Modern Tire Dealer
The U.S. Department of Energy says up to 15 percent of fuel consumed by a car is used to overcome a passenger tire's resistance to the road. Studies by Green Seal Inc., a nonprofit environmental standard development and certification organization, show low rolling resistance tires can reduce fuel consumption by 1.5 to 4.5 percent. Green Car Reports

USA Today
Manufacturing continues to show signs of weakness in the U.S. It has been said that manufacturing has been diminished in America, due to technology and cheaper ways of doing things abroad. And as the auto sector shows real signs of vibrancy in an otherwise flat economy, journalist Maria Bartiromo caught up with Pete Selleck, chairman and president of Michelin North America, to get an update on business, manufacturing and the USA's relationship with France.
