The Midland Reporter-Telegram

MFD's David Hickman said high temperatures that exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit can ignite numerous motor vehicle elements, leading to larger fires that may severely damage or destroy the vehicle.

How to actually empower customer service employees

US auto sales up 9 percent in June
Tire Business
Sales of light consumer vehicles in the U.S. rose 9 percent in June, continuing a positive market trend and pushing the industry closer to its first 16 million unit year since 2007. The June surge, in part due to revived demand for pickups and continued interest in compacts, pushed the half-year sales count up 8 percent to 7.8 million units, prompting some market analysts to boost their sales forecasts for the next couple of years. TrueCar Inc., for example, raised its outlook to 16.5 million in 2014 and 17.2 million in 2015.

The Dallas Observer
Small businesses in Texas continued to add jobs in June, but at a slower pace than in May as growth across the country appears to have stalled, according to estimates released today by Intuit Payroll. Texas' small business employment rose 0.02 percent, compared with a 0.8 percent increase in May. "The gains in small business employment this month are not as large as last month," said Susan Woodward, the economist who worked with Intuit to create the indexes. "However this month's employment gains, paired with the upward revisions for the previous several months, add up to the biggest gains we have seen in small business employment since the recovery began."
