Supply & Demand Chain Executive

Without information risk management, your entire operation can be compromised
Too often data breaches trace back to compromised vendor credentials to access the retailer's internal networks and supply chain. Mapping the flow of information and keeping an eye on key access points will unquestionably remain crucial to building a more resilient information. Take a moment and think about this: Do you know if your suppliers are protecting your company's sensitive data as diligently as you would protect it yourself?

The enemy within: How indirect spend management impacts profit margins
By Frank Wilhelm
As the global economy continues to sputter, careers stall and many companies continue to tread water, we obviously cannot just watch helplessly as economic conditions continue to compress and batter our profit margins with continually depressed revenue streams. What to do if your team is letting you down
Harvard Business Review

Is it time for a supply chain makeover?
The Strategic Sourceror
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." This adage applies to a lot of situations — from relationships to recipes, films to fine art — and many believe that the traditional manner in which to do things shouldn't be changed unless it's no longer relevant. While this might be true, there is still another thought camp that believes in staying ahead of the curve to have a leg up on the competition. However, it can be difficult to pick a side when it comes to something as fluid as the supply chain.

Some not-so-obvious uses for drones in the supply chain
The U.S. moved closer to legalizing the commercial use of drones in February, when the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration published proposed regulations. Although some criticized the rules as too restrictive (for example, drones would have to fly only during daylight and within sight of the operator), there is plenty of time for the FAA to change the regulations before they become final, in one to two years.
