A look at the world's busiest airport
ABC News
Atlanta: Known for the Braves, hosting the 1996 Olympics and now home to the world's busiest airport. That's according to data released from Airports Council International. Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson is one of four U.S. airports to make the top 10 list. The others are LAX in Los Angeles; Chicago O'Hare and Dallas-Fort Worth. The council ranks the airports based on passenger traffic. More than 96 million passengers arrived or departed from Hartsfield-Jackson in 2014. More

TSA Technology Investment Plan released
ACC
On September 2, the TSA’s Office of Security Capabilities released its Strategic Five-Year Technology Investment Plan. As outlined by TSA, the Plan was prepared pursuant to a requirement in Section 1611 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (P.L. 107-296), as amended by Section 3 of the Transportation Security Acquisition Reform Act (P.L. 113-245). It presents a forward-looking investment strategy that supports implementation of best practices and improved transparency with regard to security technology acquisition programs that protect the Nation's aviation transportation systems from terrorist attacks. The Act requires a biennial update; however, the scope of the Plan spans Fiscal Years 2016-2020. ACC is reviewing the document and will provide any necessary analysis in the coming weeks. The direct link to the Plan can be found here. For more information on this, please contact ACC’s T.J. Schulz at TJS@ACCOnline.org. More
