College Students Bypassing Degrees On Purpose
The Hechinger Report
Kevin Floerke has been down this route before. A student at Santa Rosa Junior College in Northern California, Floerke, 26 years old, already graduated in 2010 from UCLA, where he majored in archaeology. This time, however, he's not after a degree. He's just trying to master a set of techniques and technologies that will help him verify the details he finds while doing fieldwork. "I'm really there to learn the program itself and be able to use it in a professional setting," he said.

Can Fear Of Cancer Keep College Kids From Binge Drinking?
NPR

But with half of all college drinkers engaging in binge drinking, the habit remains one of the biggest health risks among young adults. Campaigns that tackle this problem often focus on familiar risks like drunken driving, unsafe sex and even death, but researchers say that warning students about the lesser-known link between alcohol and cancer may also be a new approach for deterring binge drinking.

Many College Students Finish Studies In Different States
U.S. News University
Where students begin their college career is not always where they finish it. This is the conclusion the National Student Clearinghouse™ Research Center® arrived at in a recent study. In "Signature Report 6: State Supplement, Completing College: A State Level View of Student Attainment Rates," National Student Clearinghouse™ officials revealed that the number of states in which more than 10% of college students begin their undergraduate studies at a four-year public institution and complete them in another state currently sits at 12, according to a press release. On a national scale, 13% of students who initially enrolled at one four-year institution eventually graduated from another school.
