Study: Millennials Prefer Traditional Classrooms Over Online Ones
Mashable
Students are warming up to virtual education, but according to a new study, they still believe it's easier to learn in a traditional classroom. Millennial Branding, a Generation Y consulting firm, and online marketplace Internships.com, conducted an online survey in May in which they asked 1,345 college students in the United States about their views on the future of education. The study found almost 53 percent of students polled agree that "online colleges are a reputable form of education," but only 43 percent think an online classroom can match or surpass the quality of a traditional one.

Euro MOOCs In Global Context

In the process debates about MOOCs have blossomed, entangled as they are in discussions about online pedagogy through to longer-standing debates about lifelong learning, internationalization, austerity, ‘disruptive innovation,’ public service, deterritorialization, education reform, and many (many) other issues.

Colleges Fight To Retain Interest Of STEM Majors

Those who don't make it to the finish line typically change course early on. Just ask Mallory Hytes Hagan, better known as Miss America 2013. Hagan enrolled at Auburn University as a biomedical science major, but transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology a year later to pursue a career in cosmetics and fragrance marketing.
