Join Us! PGO's 20th Annual General Meeting

PGO invites all registrants, geoscientists-in-training and student members to participate in the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Among the items to be presented and approved during the AGM are draft amendments of the PGO’s By-Laws that have been approved by Council. Please click on proposed by-law amendments for your review. PGO registrants (full, limited, temporary and non-practicing P.Geo.'s) attending the meeting will be asked to vote on these amendments. A proxy form is available for those who wish to vote but won't be able to participate in the virtual AGM. Registration is required. Please register online.

Canadian Regional Young Persons' Lecture Competition
Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining in partnership with Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA)
Deadline for Submission of Abstract: June 21, 2022
The Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator Network (MICA) is committed to continuing and expanding the Young Persons’ Lecture Competition (YPLC) in Canada. MICA will host the Canadian Competition on June 30 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Contestants will be selected based on abstracts submitted by June 21 to deliver presentations of their research.

Ontario mine rescue competition winners announced

From June 7 to 9, Ontario Mine Rescue hosted the provincial competition at Vale’s Creighton Mine in Sudbury and announced the winners at a banquet on the final evening.
