The aim is to increase HPV vaccination rates, which eliminates preventable cancers such as cervical cancer, anal cancer, throat cancer, penile cancer and vaginal/vulvar cancers. According to the press release, by June 2026, the campaign hopes to have 80% of 13-year-old girls and boys vaccinated. The de-escalated treatment also was associated with decreased toxicity and slight improvement in swallowing function.  READ MORE Single test can predict progression of untreated precancerous cervical disease News-Medical.net A single test for women has been shown to aid in predicting which cases of precancerous cervical disease will become more serious, helping with decisions on whether or not surgery is needed, according to a study led by Queen Mary University of London. In the U.K., most women with moderate cervical dysplasia are advised to undergo surgery without delay, but this has a risk for the outcome of future pregnancies, including miscarriages and premature deliveries.
