Have You Ever Dreamed of Opening Your Own Bookstore?
ASJA
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: ASJA 2021's Bookstore Coordinator
At our conference we always sell books written by speakers on panels. This year we're expanding that list to include any registered attendee. We've secured a bookshop partner to take online orders and enable these books to be shipped right to any conference attendee's house. But we need someone to help coordinate this, by monitoring a Google form that will be established shortly to capture registered attendees' book titles and pass this info along to our bookshop partner. If you're interested, please contact Kristine Hansen, ASJA 2021 chair, at kristinehansenwriter@gmail.com.

Tele-Connections Recruiting Contest: Virtual for the Win
ASJA
With everyone working virtually, it’s easier than ever to invite editors and agents to the ASJA 2021 Tele-Connections event this year. Conference Chair Kristine Hansen reached out to editors she knows and immediately heard back from three who are happy to attend, thanks to the virtual format. Have editors or agents you work with who are looking for more great writers? Let Cheryl Alkon (calkon@gmail.com) know you want to invite them and she’ll send you an official ASJA invite. The Tele-Connections event happens online on May 24-25. The ASJA member who recruits the most editors and agents to this event by April 29 will win either free registration for the full 2021 virtual conference or a slot at either a Tele-Connections or Virtual Pitch Slam session in 2021.
