Those partnerships have resulted in big impact and big rewards, including a few Pulitzer Prizes. That happened again in 2017. And this year, one of those collaborations included a local newsroom.

It’s a tie! ASJA members Jodi Helmer and Michelle Rafter have each won a free Member’s Day after bringing in the most editors for Client Connections, which takes place on May 5 during our national conference. Congratulations, ladies! And thanks to all the ASJA members who participated in the contest.
We're looking for Special Interest Group (SIG) leaders for the next SIG session, June 5-July 2. SIGs are small (up to 12 people) private groups that meet on a special section of the forum to discuss a particular topic. Past SIGs have included travel writing, pitch perfection, content marketing, history writing, corporate writing, six-figure freelancing and more. SIG leaders don't have to be experts in the topic (although they can be!), they simply have to have an interest and willingness to act as a discussion facilitator for four weeks. Can you lead a SIG on pitching, book proposal writing, making the switch to fiction, writing for the trades or another topic? Email SIG wrangler Kate Silver at thekatesilver@gmail.com.
