Invention Analysis: Increase Evaluation Throughput
Invention Evaluator    Share

A sad reality for inventors in a university setting is that 10% of invention disclosures received in a technology transfer office are not even processed. One bottleneck across the globe is staff shortages, as identified by 75% of surveyed TTOs. Yet, disclosures are essential for technology transfer offices, small to large. Processing disclosures with a proper evaluation analysis further engages and educates researchers, whilst illustrating a TTO’s commitment and due diligence to the commercialization process. At this coming AUTM meeting in February, we offer a discussion on how to handle disclosure analysis in an objective, systematic, comprehensive and timely manner, focusing on resources to increase efficiency and throughput.
