The National School Transportation Association hosted the 44th Annual School Bus Driver International Safety Competition recently in Charleston, South Carolina, and saw a mix of familiar faces and new winners in the top rankings of each category. One hundred contestants began with a written exam testing their understanding of the rules of the road. The next day, drivers got behind the wheel of a school bus and completed the road course and competed in one of three categories: conventional, small bus or transit.
