Minimum Wage to Increase Next Month
On October 1, 2019, Connecticut's minimum wage will increase from $10.10 per hour to $11.00 per hour under Public Act 19-4: "An Act Increasing the Minimum Fair Wage." Subsequent increases will follow the schedule below:
Starting on January 1, 2024, and every January 1st thereafter, the minimum wage will be adjusted by the percentage change in the "employment cost index", for wages and salaries for all civilian workers, as calculated by the United States Department of Labor, over the 12 period ending on June 13th of the preceding year.
- $12.00 effective on September 1, 2020
- $13.00 effective on August 1, 2021
- $14.00 effective on July 1, 2022
- $15.00 effective on June 1, 2023
