Officials at the Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, airport said a flight from Halifax landed safely despite coming in with a flat tire.
Charlottetown Airport Authority CEO Doug Newson said emergency crews were ready for a worst-case scenario, but the landing went off without a hitch.
"City of Charlottetown fire department, Charlottetown Police Services, EMS did respond," said Newson. "Fortunately the plane did land safely without incident on the runaway, and even by the time they arrived the plane had already landed safely."

Plans for the 75th anniversary celebration of Brandon, Manitoba's 82 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron have sparked the interest of Brandon resident, Ron Finley, who is an alumnus of the squadron from 1945.

Officials at Bearhawk Aircraft report the first flights of two Bearhawk Light-Sport Aircraft built by customers from Quick-Build kits.
Owner/builders Bruce McElhoe of California and Bob Way of Alabama completed, certified and flew their Bearhawk LSAs, the first two completions, in November 2016.
The Bearhawk LSA was designed, built and tested by Bob Barrows, maker of the original Bearhawk four-place aircraft.

After a fitful production start for the A5 light-sport aircraft, Icon Aircraft has regrouped. The company has built a composite factory in Mexico to "improve and control the manufacturing process while simultaneously reducing cost," says Icon's founder and CEO, Kirk Hawkins. While the new Tijuana-based composite shop is getting up and running, Icon has opened two training facilities for its A5 amphibian — one at its headquarters in Vacaville, California, and one in downtown Tampa, Florida. A third facility is expected to open soon at an undisclosed location in Texas.

Four people survived without major injuries after their small plane crashed just before it made the runway at the airport in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
RCMP responded to the crash site.
The plane had been flying from Camrose, Alberta, to Fort McMurray when it's believed the pilot was forced to attempt an emergency landing.
