Century-old law looms as hurdle for exports push
Environment & Energy Publishing
With a growing body of research backing their economic and security arguments, supporters of ending the crude export ban are growing increasingly confident about the legislative prospects of repealing what they call an antiquated policy.
"Really the momentum is building," Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) told reporters recently. "You've got a lot more information out there showing that it's good for the country, it's good for job creation, and it ultimately will help us continue to build our energy industry and lower prices at the pump."
