Twitter is still rife with "fake news" a month out from the 2018 midterms, with more than 80 percent of the accounts that regularly spread misinformation in 2016 still active, a new study found.
The report — sponsored by the nonprofit Knight Foundation and written by George Washington University professor Matthew Hindman and Vlad Barash, the science director at network analysis firm Graphika — found that those accounts together still publish upward of a million tweets a day.

This year will mark a milestone for digital video advertising in the U.S., according to eMarketer's latest ad spending forecast. In 2018, video will grow nearly 30% to $27.82 billion. That means video ad spending will make up 25% of U.S. digital ad spending. Facebook will capture nearly one-quarter (24.5%) of all video ad spending in the U.S. this year, at $6.81 billion (including Instagram), which makes Facebook the top social video ad platform in the U.S.

That's according to a new study by Australian National University, Pacific Standard reports. In the study, researchers looked at 31 countries and the average household's book-buying habits and found that the more books a home contained, the better math, literacy and digital communication skills children had when they reached adulthood.
In the study, participants stated how many books were in their house when they were children, ranging from "less than 10" to "more than 500."
