Rates of syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia have climbed for the fourth consecutive year in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced at the National STD Prevention Conference in Washington.
Last year, nearly 2.3 million U.S. cases of these sexually transmitted diseases were diagnosed, according to preliminary data.

The American Academy of Nursing recently honored Jacquelyn Campbell PhD, RN, FAAN, as both an Academy Edge Runner and a Living Legend. Dr. Campbell is the creator of the Danger Assessment instrument, used to assist in assessing the level of danger in an intimate partner relationship.
