Interior Design
Downtown Los Angeles is dense with low-income housing units, many needing updating. For a pair of 110-unit buildings, Skid Row Housing Trust tapped Brooks + Scarpa Architects for the renovations. “No design is entailed here,” principal Lawrence Scarpa recalls being told. “We thought: Yes there is.” So he and co-principal Angela Brooks came up with one concept to serve the two sites: beautifying under-used outside space for tenants to enjoy.

Seeger operates more than 60 medical supply stores in the Berlin region. Berlin-based design studio IONDESIGN has developed a modular shop concept for the traditional company that creates a recognizable character for all future Seeger stores.

Creative consultancy Culdesac has designed a store for supermarket chain Consum in Benicàssim, Spain, with simple, stripped-back interiors to make the shop's arrangement understandable.
Valencia-based Culdesac designed the arrangement, signage and furniture of the store, which will serve as a model for Consum's future shops, to be clearer and easier to understand than traditional supermarkets.

After designing two floors for identity resolution provider LiveRamp in San Francisco's Standard Oil Building, O+A was invited to design a third. While the two previous floors mirror each other in the way they juxtapose highly finished contemporary design with building's raw original infrastructure (plenty of exposed brick), the third pulls all three floors into a cohesive whole (with a few adjustments to the earlier floors).
