Coke names Krista Schulte VP
Krista L. Schulte has been named Vice President, East Zone, National FoodService & On-Premise, reporting to Kathleen Ciaramello. Her new role will be effective July 1. Krista has served on multiple boards throughout her career including the National Association of Concessionaires and the Variety Club of Georgia Children's Charity. She won the NAC Bert Nathan Memorial Award in 2005 recognizing outstanding contributions and leadership for the concession industry. More

Statewide soda tax gaining momentum in California legislature

Fueled by a recent survey showing growing public support, a penny-per-ounce tax on sugary drinks appears to be gaining traction in the California Legislature. Two Senate committees approved a bill by Sen. Bill Monning, D-Carmel, that would add a penny to every ounce of sugar-sweetened beverage sold in California. More
