Creme Egg recipe redo has chocolate lovers hopping mad
Fox News
Chocolate lovers in the U.K. are hopping mad after one of the country's favorite Easter confections is getting an overhaul by its U.S.-based producer. Kraft Foods — which now owns chocolate maker Cadbury — has stunned consumers by no longer using Cadbury's Dairy Milk in the recipe for its Creme Eggs. And, there's more: The company also is reducing a package from six eggs to five, without reducing the price. U.S. giant Kraft Foods bought Cadbury in 2010 and its global snacks business under the name of Mondelez International.

Sugar, salt and subtle tannins: Pairing wine and junk food
NPR
The classic rules for wine pairing work well for a nice night out: white wine with fish, red wine with steak. But what about nights you stay in — with a bag of candy, or chips, or take-out? Well, if you're munching on salt and vinegar Pringles, reach for a white wine, says Kevin McNamara, the tasting room manager at Paradise Springs Winery in Clifton, Virginia. McNamara has been running a wine and junk food pairing event every October for three years.

Brand building in 2015
QSR Magazine
Technomic is forecasting a nominal 3 percent growth rate for limited-service restaurants in 2015, so it doesn't seem as if there will be any big changes in fast food in the coming year. Any positive effect produced by lower gas prices is likely to be canceled out by drought-induced higher food costs. But that doesn't mean the fast food industry is going to sit back and do the same old things this year. We'll be working hard to create exciting experiences and differentiate our brands while fighting new competitors encroaching on our territory. And it won't just be with new products.
