  • NADRA Minnesota Chapter meeting — Success!
The meeting was a huge success — dinner was awesome. Thank you to our sponsor, Absolute Distribution!

Local members from The Deck Store, Bob Heidenreich and, Blair and Craig, presented a session on Low Voltage lighting, Craig had created several displays to show the differences between, LED light colors (temperature) and incandescent bulbs (old type). Blair explained the basic's of how these systems work and provided some tips on how to promote lighting as an add on to a deck sale. Bob spoke about the building and electric codes that govern these low voltage systems in Minnesota. We briefly spoke about metal rail bonding as it relates to the hot tub and lighting when used on a deck. We also discussed why GFCI are ineffective when low voltage transformers are used, and the risk of fire that can be caused. NADRA members input added to the importance of why we need to understand and mitigate the risks.

All in all, the meeting was a success! The next meeting for Minnesota will be announced in the weeks ahead. Thank you all who attended.
