Home builder confidence soars to 7-year high

The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo builder sentiment index leaped to 52 this month from 44 in May. It was the largest monthly increase since 2002. A reading above 50 indicates more builders view sales conditions as good, rather than poor. The index hasn't been that high since April 2006, just before the housing market collapsed.More

Digg Reader will launch just before Google Reader shuts down

One-third of American adults now own tablet computers

This will allow organizations to post commentary related to or in response to content from The Washington Post's opinion section. The product was developed by the New Ventures team at The Post and will be clearly marked as advertising.More

NYT brings magazine experience to the Web
The Sunday supplement has been reimagined for the Web and an online version of this month's "innovations issue" recently went live, featuring 48 pages of responsive magazine content, complete with responsive advertising, built through HTML5. "We really wanted to be able to design something that would be a great experience for more and more readers coming to us from all these different devices and we thought we could explore that," said John Niedermeyer, lead designer of digital news at The New York Times.More
