To reduce burden and costs to industry and clarify language for training providers, the EPA has finalized revisions to the Lead-based Paint program. A key component of the final rule allows on-line training for every other recertification. Renovators who take the online training will be certified for three years; renovators who take the hands-on training will be certified for five years.
