Remembering Michael Hamman
One of NARI'S great promoters and firebrands, Michael Hamman, passed away at San Francisco's UCSF Hospital last Tuesday afternoon after a short, but significant illness.
Michael was one of the first members of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and participated in that Chapter until his recent retirement. He served the chapter in many capacities, including Chapter Board Member, National Representative, Chapter President and elder statesman. He became a memorable presence at NARI National meetings, serving on a number of national committees and chairing his favorite committee, the Bylaws committee, where he reveled in bylaw and policy minutiae. He was a man of great passions, as anyone will attest who debated him at a committee meeting or on the floor of a NARI House of Delegates meeting. His passions for family, friends, community, food, politics of all natures, and construction were unbounded. His passion and presence will be greatly missed.

Cabinet importers cited for evasion of trade duties
