READ POST Make Your Voice Heard: New Independent Contractor Regulations The U.S. Department of Labor recently proposed new regulations regarding how to classify independent contractors. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce (of which NARI is a member) is vigorously opposing the changes stating that, "The new regulation proposed by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is heavily biased towards concluding that someone should be considered an employee rather than an independent contractor.
