Rare storm for a region: A derecho
ACSM Bulletin
Share

It's a hurricane. It's a tornado. No, it's a derecho. Only a meteorologist was likely to have made the right guess about the violent storm system that hit the Washington, D.C., area on a recent Friday night. No, it's not what you think — a boundary spanner is not a surveyor's collateral evidence in establishing property. It's also not a tool, like the spanner wrench used to grip a pin. Boundary spanners are facilitators in teaming. As teaming becomes an efficient way to gain additional minds and resources, the individual who guides the team plays a vital role.
