National School Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week 2023 (#NSCW23) is Feb. 6-10, 2023, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February.
The 2023 theme is School Counselors: Helping Students Dream Big. Promotional Materials, Photo Challenge & Download templates and samples for press release, certificate of appreciation, proclamation and morning announcements (available in December). Also download a variety of National School Counseling Week logos; photo challenge signs; and images for Twitter, Facebook and other uses are all available HERE.

Presenter: Tim Coleman is a Recruitment and Outreach Specialist for UA Road Sprinkler Fitter Local 669. Local 669 gas 15,000 members in 48 states and has been around since 1915. Sprinkler Fitters are often called Iron Fire Fighters and are specialized Pipe Fitters that installs, test, inspect and maintain Life Safety/Fire Suppression Systems.

New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) provides annual scholarships to deserving high school, undergraduate, and graduate students pursuing a career/major in the field of communications. Scholarships range from $2,500 to $10,000. Our current sponsored scholarships are listed here – and more are being added daily. School Counselors Eligible for NYS Master Teacher Program

The New York State Master Teacher Program is a vibrant professional network of more than 1400 outstanding public school K-12 STEM teachers throughout the state who share a passion for their own STEM learning and for collaborating with colleagues to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
In January of 2023, Governor Hochul announced the expansion of the NYS Master Teacher Program to create a cohort of counselors and to encourage more teachers with CTE certificates related to STEM careers that are projected to be in high demand to apply.

It is important to note that the final date to submit part 1 of the application is Wednesday, February 22, 2023, 11:00pm.
The deadline to submit the complete application, parts 2-5, is Saturday, February 25, 2023, 11:00pm
