Boosting employee experience at the frontline
Forbes
Frontline workers make up most of the workforce around the globe, yet these jobs that require presence are often not considered in discussions about work-life balance, career growth, employee experience, creative benefits, etc. Nurses, firefighters, truck drivers and mechanics are just a few examples of workers who must be present in a specific place and at a specific time to perform their jobs. However, much of the common wisdom intended to boost employee experience at work assumes jobs that can be done remotely via a laptop.

How to choose the right collaboration tools
Human Resource Executive Online
Technology has long played a role in facilitating workplace collaboration. Think of all the times you’ve drafted a document or created a PowerPoint presentation and then emailed it to a colleague for their input. Your parents and grandparents even relied on technology to collaborate with their co-workers, albeit with typewriters, rather than computers.
Never have collaboration tools been as crucial as they are today, due to the rise in geographically diverse teams and a dramatic increase in the number of people working remotely.

Are you a design thinker?
Human Resource Executive Online
The phrase “employee experience” has become nearly inescapable in HR circles these days. Last month’s HR Technology Conference was no exception.
During his opening keynote address, global analyst Josh Bersin noted that employee experience has increasingly become a focus among vendors. “We’re not building software for HR anymore — we’re building it for employees,” said Bersin. “If employees don’t find it useful, if it doesn’t fit into ‘the flow of work,’ then it’s not going to be used.”
By the same token, HR processes like performance management are becoming less HR-centric and, instead, more focused on employees and managers, writes HRE columnist Jason Averbook.
