OMCA would like to remind provincially regulated motor coach operators of the pre-boarding requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act that took effect Jan. 1, 2017. Provincially regulated motor coach operators must ensure proper signage for passengers indicating route, direction or stop and the signage must be clear, visible, and consistently placed amongst all vehicles. In an interview with Ottawa Tourism, Marc Laplante, who is the Vice-President at 417 Bus Line, said that when he found out about all the great things going on in 2017, he knew that he had to be a part of the celebration.
"I contacted Guy Laflamme and asked if we could work together," Laplante said. Laflamme is the Executive Director at Ottawa 2017, the bureau who is spearheading much of Ottawa's exciting 2017 celebrations. From that conversation, Laplante said, three special 2017-themed buses were formed.

Sudbury's city council voted 8-5 to proceed with the phase two bid for the 2021 Canada Summer Games. This despite the fact would cost Sudburians about $3 million to host the game if the city wins the bid.
