OMCA
The 127 bus companies that subscribe to OMCA's Driver Licence Status Check Service have become used to seeing the Travelers name and umbrella logo on our licence check website. Travelers has kindly supported this important member service since it was first launched back in 2008. At that time there were 18,000 bus drivers in the program and today that number has grown to 30,000 bus drivers. OMCA is pleased to announce that Travelers Canada is continuing its sponsorship for the 2016 year. Travelers Canada's generous support helps to offset our operating expenses and allows us to keep the licence status check and MTO abstract fees at a low level.
If your bus company is not one of the 127 bus companies that already subscribe to this service, what's holding you back? It's your best defence against finding out the hard way that one of your drivers has been suspended or downgraded. For more information contact Dave Carroll at dave@omca.com or check the OMCA website at www.omca.com.

Canadian cities are no strangers to boneheaded urban planning decisions — the Gardiner Expressway blocking access to Toronto's waterfront, Montreal's crumbling Turcot interchange, space-sucking viaducts in Vancouver.

Peel councillors are requesting a meeting with the provincial government after the Liberals applied the brakes to an Environmental Assessment (EA) supposed to help determine the alignment of a highway that would open up development lands in Brampton and Caledon, as well as unclog transportation arteries crucial to sustaining the economic heartbeat of Peel.
Last December, after years of work, the Ministry of Transportation abruptly suspended environmental assessment for the Greater Toronto Area West Highway Corridor (GTA West).
