The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) will be holding a training course March 10-12, 2020 in Chicago, IL, on the Canadian Hours of Service regulations and the new ELD technical specifications which take effect June 12, 2021.
The first 2.5 days of the training course will provide in-depth information on the Canadian HOS regulations, including daily, work shift and cycle rules; the daily deferral rule; single and team driver sleeper berth requirements; and exemptions. An official from Transport Canada will be in attendance to answer any questions and to present on the last segment of the course covering differences between the Canadian ELD requirements and the U.S. technical specifications, as well as third-party certification requirements for all devices in use in Canada by the June 2021 compliance date.
The training is open to anyone.
The deadline to register is today, Friday, February 21.

- Receptive Operators and Tour Services will be taking their appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday
- Appointments will now be 8 minutes in length
- There will no longer be A and B blocks on Tuesday and Wednesday
