Two major Canadian travel insurance providers — Manulife and TuGo — will no longer cover new customers who need to cancel their trips due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Travellers with regular trip cancellation insurance typically have been able to get reimbursed if, after booking their trip, Ottawa issued a coronavirus-related advisory to avoid non-essential travel to their destination.

Transport Canada’s ELD weblink is now live. The focus of this initial launch is on general ELD information, the accreditation process for certification bodies and what ELD manufacturers / suppliers need to know at this stage. The next phase launch will include information for motor carriers, drivers, enforcement and generally people involved in cross-border transportation. The tables with the registry of accredited certification bodies and listing of certified ELDs are there as place markers for now and will be populated as information becomes available.

Student Transportation Services in Thunder Bay has launched a Just Stop campaign in hopes of bringing awareness to the ongoing issue of drivers passing school buses while their stop arm is activated and flashing lights are on.
Craig Murphy, consortium manager at Student Transportation Services in Thunder Bay (STSTB), said it's a "serious issue" and one their bus drivers have tracking since November 1, 2019.

Today, Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, was at Ballet Jörgen Canada to announce that Ontario is providing more than $462,000 to 11 organizations through the latest round of funding from the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund (OCAF).
