The March 13-18 (March break) and May 1-6 regular P.R.I.D.E. Programs are now sold out. The next available program is July 10-15. If you have any upcoming training requirements, the P.R.I.D.E. Program would be pleased to conduct an additional program in April if twelve confirmed registrations are received. Click here for the registration form. As well, the April 20 P.R.I.D.E. New Acting OHTB Chair appointed by MTO

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation recently announced that the appointment of Gary Stanley as Member and designation as Chair of the Ontario Highway Transport Board has expired. Minister Steven Del Duca has designated Gilles Morin as Acting OHTB Chair, effective March 10, 2016. Morin is currently a part-time Member of the OHTB and is therefore familiar with the OHTB's responsibilities in administering the economic regulatory regime.

A federal agency has proposed training standards for entry-level commercial truck and bus drivers that are intended to improve safety.
A notice of proposed rulemaking by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration would require new drivers to obtain at least 30 hours of behind-the-wheel training before receiving a Class A commercial drivers license, including at least 10 hours of driving range practice.
