An Education and General Tour Operator Meeting will be held at Delta Hotels Toronto Airport (655 Dixon Road) on Monday, April 23, 2018. Networking and coffee will be available at 9:00 am, followed by the meeting at 9:30 am. The OMCA Annual General Meeting (AGM) — open to all OMCA members — will be held that same day at noon, with a working luncheon followed by the continuation of the Tour Operator meeting.
Topics for the day's Tour Operator meetings will include (but are not limited to):
- Overnight security at hotels
- Hours of Service and electronic logs
- Safety and risk management
- Ontario's new workplace rules (awareness)

Algoma Arts Festival Association is starting work on a new strategic plan to help drive more tourists to visit Sault Ste. Marie to attend cultural events presented by the arts group.
The association, presenters of Algoma Fall Festival, sold 456 tickets to regional and Ontario visitors in 2017, up from 300 in 2016.
