The province is moving forward with a plan to better integrate three transit agencies by redeveloping Kipling Station into a major transit hub.

With the GTA experiencing strong growth, a study suggests the area around Pearson airport would be a logical place to have a "Union Station West" to help reduce road congestion even if the airport did not exist.
The study, commissioned by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, suggests a regional transit hub for trains, light rail cars and buses can make the area more competitive.
"We found that commuting times in the region are the highest in Canada," said Howard Eng, president of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority at a recent media conference.

Regular commuters using the Ambassador Bridge will have an opportunity to save on tolls by purchasing gas or other products at the border crossing's duty-free stores.
The bridge company has launched a new program that allows travellers to save based on how much they spend at the Ammex Duty Free Store in Detroit or Ambassador Duty Free store in Windsor.
For each $25, $50 or $100 duty-free purchase, a customer will see a parallel toll reduction of 25 cents, 50 cents or $1 for every day of the following week.
Every 10-gallon purchase of fuel will equal another 25 cent toll reduction.

However, the U.S. travel industry may be looking at another "lost decade" under President Donald Trump. A new report shows that Trump's travel ban could cost the U.S. travel industry $18 billion in the next two years.
